The 341 bed capacity hospital provides specialist services in the following areas: O&G, SURGERY, ORTHOPAEDICS & TRAUMA,INTERNAL MEDICINE, CHILD HEALTH, PATHOLOGY, ENT, , ENDOSCOPY, NEUROSURGERY, ANAESTHESIA AND ICU, PSYCHIATRY, DENTISTRY, EYE UNIT ETC.

The Tamale Teaching Hospital has been accredited by Medical and Dental Council of Ghana, National Health Insurance Authority and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.

It also has full accreditation by the medical and dental council of Ghana for the training of house Officers or interns.
