Interested Volunteers and Elective Students are expected to complete an ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM. As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit an up-to-date resume (curriculum vitae) of themselves.

Applicants would be required to provide at least one reference/contact person in their country of origin.

Electives applicants are expected to come along with a proof of status (School I.D. etc). Professinal applicants would be required to provide adequate evidence of their qualifications and abilities.

Please note that confirmation of status would be sought from your institutions of training, professional or regulatory body in your country of origin where applicable.

ACCOMMODATION

Depending on destination of choice, Volunteers may reside in a dedicated accommodation for volunteers or be hosted by a host family. Please note that with projects in a typical rural setup, the host accommdation may have typical rural architecture, fittings and fixtures.
Volunteers whose site of volunteering is within 30 minutes drive distance from a dedicated residence are housed in the dedicated residences. In such instances, the cost of transport to and from the project site (Maximum $5 per day) would be borne by the volunteer.

The Healthcare Volunteering projects and Electives projects are however within towns and participants are accommodated in dedicated residences. Volunteers and elective students present at a particular time are expected to share facilities therein with each other.

For students, a maximum of four people share a room. For healthcare volunteers a maximum of two share a room except otherwise convenient.

Dedicated accommodation are modestly equipped, well furnished and provided necessary household fittings to make life comfortable for students. Each sitting room is well furnished and has a TV set, a DVD player, and Fans to check the weather.
A kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, a refrigerator, cooking utensils, etc to make life comfortable for students.

Guaranteed in our accommodation are daily cleaning by cleaners, constant water supply and 24-hour security presence. Participants are however expected to help keep the houses tidy at all times.
 
APPLICABLE FEES  
RTV is essentially a non-profit making initiative. Applicable fees vary depending on whether you are a volunteers or a Healthcare Electives Student.
Please note that our rates are most affordable and second to none.

FOOD AND TRANSPORT

There are numerous Western type restaurants and Local eatery (popular called Chop Bars) available offer both local and continental dishes. Participants are advised to exercise due discretion in the choosing what they eat outside residences.
Depending on enrolment arrangements, participants could be served breakfast and Dinner at dedicated residences or host family abodes.Public Buses and private Mini buses (popularly called Trotro) as well as Taxis (Cabs) are available to cater for all your transport needs.

PRIVATE OR OFF-PROGRAMME TRAVELS

Irrespective of the laudable hospitality of Ghanaians, we still advice that participants on private (unofficial) travels take good care of themselves and their belongings wherever they find themselves.

Participant could request for an tour assistant from Royal Triangle. We encourage all program participants to let our staff know their whereabout at all times.

Royal Triangle assumes no liability for items lost or other misfortunes encountered during such tours although we would offer every available support within our means in the event of a problem.


ACADEMIC TOURISM

Photos: Tourist Attraction in Eastern Regions As part of the Royal Triangle program, volunteers are encouraged to take advantage of their presence in Ghana to tour the various tourist attractions in the ten Regions of Ghana.

Among the tourist sites at the Eastern Region of Ghana are the Aburi Botanical Gardens, the Boti, Akaah and Begoro Waterfalls, the Beads Market at Koforidua, the Volta Lake, The Akuapem and Kwahu Ridges and the Art and Craft Shops at Aburi.

Volunteers may request for tour assistants from Royal Triangle to assist them with their visit to prefered tourist sites in Ghana.
